Mentoring is on the rise in America. Mentors have to rise a fine line - making sure that their mentees don't depend on them and at the same time, providing enough support. What make a good mentor? What mentors have you had and what made them good...or bad?
Re: What Makes a Good Mentor?
I guess a good mentor would be someone who can relate to others and give support and advice based on his/her knowledge and experiences. A good mentor should not be afraid to correct someone even it means if the other person dislikes it. Then he/she should be a good listener and always open to new ideas. Most importantly, a good mentor would encourage others to chase their dreams instead of putting them down.
