This is a photograph taken in New York City's Central Park. Of particular interest to me was the clash of cultures the subject portrayed. He depicted through his Native American headdress, spiritual chants, and the stomping of his feet the culture into which he was born. His violin and the same high pitched voice one would hear at an opera accentuated the contrast between the two worlds. At times he would stomp his feet depicting old Native American dances and at other times he would waltz. This man was clearly trying to fuse both cultural influences into one performance.
