In the first cycle , YV Challenge is supporting 27 young people to launch ventures on their social change ideas. After 3 capacity building workshops, the venturers present their ideas to a panel. Based on the panelists feedback, YV invests Rs 10,000 in each lead venturer.

I have to add Youth Venture India :) The Minnesota Regional Director Jen Aspengren, also works with Youth Venture India and Youth Venture Thailand. She flies off, leaving the VISTA team to its lonesome, about 3 times a year and comes back with amazing stories of Venturers halfway around the world.

PANEL

The panel day started with a briefing for the 20 panelists who were with us for the 2 days of panel discussions. Each panel comprised of 3 panelists and we had 6 panels running simultaneously. The panelists comprised of Ashoka fellows and professionals from the academic, business and ciitizen sector in Mumbai. Each team got 15 minutes to present their ideas, followed by 10 minutes for the panel to raise questions which was follwed by 20 minutes of panel debrief of the venture team.
