About Us
The Bringing Every Teen The Environment Right (BETTER) Club is a campus beautification club.
Ever since we started high school, we would always hear someone complaining about how our school looks, the bathrooms, the stairs, the Arts building - everything. And so, the idea for this project came about. Having been in the Coro Center for Civic Leadership's Exploring Leadership program in 2006, Caroline (the president for the 06-07 school year) became joined the Coro-Youth Venture partnership and submitted a proposal for this club. And so it began.
Our general goal is to, of course, beautify our school. We plan to do so through a series of projects (such as repainting handrails where the paint has been rubbed off, planting flowers next to the sidewalk outside, etc.) that members of this club and other clubs with similar interests will take part in. Another of our goals is to double the number of club members by the end of the 06-07 school year to over 20 members.
