Bio

Hey Everyone! My name is Amanda and I am a current Junior at the Parker Charter School. I spent the last year as an adventure director at a local YMCA outdoors camp where I tought kids how to rock climb and do ropes courses. I love my job and I want to get a degree in outdoors education. As far as music I LOVE Jack Johnson, Oasis, Eagle Eye Cherry, Gomez, and Matt Nathanson. I love trying new things. I want to sky dive someday. Winters mean skiing, summers mean rock climbing, and somewhere in the middle is ultimate frizbeee, softball, running, swimming, and on occansion mountain biking with my Daddy. I play guitar (acoustic), I love nahant, the ocean, and being outside. The cookie monster is my hero, Laughing is my verb, I love peanut butter and I eat it like it's my job, and whoever said carbs are bad for you lied. From the age of 12 I have been volunteering at my local YMCA and I am now the community service cordinador for Leaders Club, which is a youth lead club of teens who get together and complete projects which bennefit the community. It's pretty awsome. I am a strong believer in community service and everyone taking part in bettering their community. I believe that youth truely hold a lot of power to create and inspire change and that shouldn't be a priviledge but a right to all youth.

  • I launched a venture more than a year ago and want help to keep it going and growing

    Thanks, Amanda! I did help 11 and 12 year olds learn how to read and write, but I don't think that counts as a venture. I must have checked the wrong box when I first completed my profile. It's fixed now. Thanks for the message! :)
